Common questions about migrating to Enchant

Is there really no cost?
Yes — data migration is a free service for teams moving to Enchant. We want switching to be as painless as possible, so there are no hidden fees.
When can we schedule the import?
Once your team has fully moved to Enchant and you have an active paid account, we can schedule the import right away. The source system must be inactive — data should not be changing while we work.
Will we be able to reply to imported conversations?
Imported tickets are preserved as a read-only historical archive. They’re fully searchable and visible in each customer’s history — but they can’t be replied to or reassigned. This keeps your historical record clean and accurate.
Will migration interrupt our support operations?
No. We plan the migration to minimize disruption. Your team can continue helping customers in Enchant while we move the data from the source system.
Can we do a second import later to catch up?
Imports are a one-time operation. It’s important that your team has fully stopped using the old system before we start, so the snapshot is complete and consistent.
What credentials or files do we need to provide?
For SaaS help desks, an API key is all we need. For email accounts, we can work with IMAP/POP3 credentials, a PST file exported from Outlook, or an MBOX file from Google Takeout.
